RecordsKeeper Features

Customizable Data Labels
You can customize and label the various data capture fields so that whatever you decide you want to keep a record of, you can organize it using labels and descriptors that you name yourself. You are not in any way limited by the system, since virtually everything can be customized. You can even change the language that is used by default on the screens.

Customizable Data Organization
Records of things you want to keep information about are organized under tabsets and tabs. A tabset contains up to 17 tabs, each fully customizable, and you may establish an unlimited number of tabsets. You choose what to name each tabset and tab, and you choose what to name each data field within a tab, using screens established for that purpose. Thus, you have a broad range of organizational possibilities for your data.  You can also organize your items across the tabsets and tabs by assigning them to a physical location, such as a safety deposit box.

Customizable Screen and Report Captions
Everything on the screens and reports is fully customizable, thus you can change the wording of buttons, guidance phrases, help information, etc. even the language to suit your specific needs.

Variety of Field Options
A large number and variety of data fields are available to capture your data – you can enter text, numbers, photos, scanned images, amounts, dates, hyperlinks (addresses of web-sites, pictures, images, folders and files, etc.) and in some cases, there is virtually no limit to the amount of data you can capture. You can even attach files (photos, scanned images and documents) and save them right in the database so that you always have them.

Meaningful and Practical Reports
There are a number of reports that you can print, store and forward via e-mail. Most have options that provide you with the ablility to select what information you want on a specific report. The reports can be saved in various formats and forwarded via e-mail.

Startup Data
You are provided with a sample user’s database of items. You can change, add or delete the sample user's data to test and try things, and to help you understand how to use the system to get a sense for its endless possiblilities. You can copy the sample user's headers, captions and data to your own private space and then use it as is or alter it to make it meaningful to you.

Lots of Help
Most screens have a help button that when clicked, will open another screen with information that is specific to the screen you are working with. That help screen will help you better understand the screen you are using – what it is for, what you can do with it, and how to use it effectively. All screen objects have 'help tips' attached to them: short phrases or series of phrases that are attached to all buttons, data fields and most other items on a screen. They are specific to the item itself and provide guidance on the object's purpose and use. Many screens have one or more phrases that are designed to help you. They are found at various places on a screen where room permits, or where they are appropriate. Most often, they appear at the bottom of a screen. You can always contact us at RecordsKeeper Software if you need any kind of help.

Fully Translatable into any language
Every screen, report and message can be translated into the language of your choice, so you are not limited to english or any specific language when you use the RecordsKeeper.
